01 What it does

What the brandkit Skill Does in Claude Code and Codex

Summary, workflow and outputs, all read from the skill's SKILL.md.

In the Skill's Own Terms

This skill generates premium brand-kit images: complete identity boards with logo systems, digital mockups, color palettes, typography, and brand atmosphere in a single presentation-ready composition. It works from brand strategy to create minimal, cinematic, grid-based decks with intentional logo concepting, sparse typography, and strong symbolic meaning.

Written for developer tools, security, gaming, luxury, cultural, and consumer-app brand systems. The output defaults to a 3×3 panel grid on dark canvas with clean gutters, requiring every logo to be professional, scalable, and based on product metaphor rather than decoration. It generates the visual argument for why a brand exists.

A brand-kit overview image, by default a 3×3 composition with logo, color, typography and application panels.Visual identity concepts shown within the image—not a promised package of editable logo vectors, font files or production-ready mockups.

How It Works

  1. 01
Select Visual Mode Matching Brand Category

The skill chooses from eight visual modes (dark developer, dark product operator, dark nature calm, dark security, light editorial compliance, luxury beauty fashion, voice communication, cultural experimental) based on the brand's category and personality.

02 Find your fit

When to Use the brandkit Skill

Use the brandkit skill in Claude Code or Codex when the job is brand and design-system work of this kind. Fit and limits below are taken from the skill's own file.

Good Fit

  • Creating complete brand identity presentations with intentional logo concepting, refined composition, sparse typography, strong symbolic meaning, premium mockups, art-directed imagery, and flexible grid layouts

Know the Boundaries

  • Brands wanting generic logos, random mockups, or messy AI moodboards instead of complete intentional brand worlds

What to Provide

  • Brand Name, Product and AudienceDescribe what the product does and who it serves so the board’s symbol and visual world are tied to the brand rather than generic decoration.
  • Personality and ReferencesShare the intended tone and any reference images or layout preferences. The source uses references for rhythm and quality, not to copy an existing logo.

03 Inside the skill

Rules the brandkit Skill Gives Claude Code and Codex

2 concrete instructions, defaults and limits the SKILL.md sets for the agent — the part of the file that changes the result.

  1. Every Visual Decision Must Answer Five Strategic Questions

Connect the brand’s purpose and core metaphor to the logo, show how the system applies across UI and physical touchpoints, and explain what makes the identity distinctive.

  2. Combine Maximum Two Logo Concept Methods

Use one or combine two maximum from: monogram plus meaning, product action, metaphor fusion, negative space, construction geometry.

Give the Skill a First Brand and design-system Work Task

Written in the skill's own terms; replace the bracketed parts with your material.

Starter prompt
Create a premium brand-kit overview for [Apex Security Platform], a network threat monitoring tool for enterprise SOC teams. The brand represents vigilant protection and real-time intelligence. Use a dark security visual mode with shield and radar metaphors. Generate a 3×3 grid showing the logo construction, browser application, threat detection dashboard fragment, color system with navy and alert red accents, one cinematic panel with dark urban architecture, and the tagline panel. Make the logo combine a raptor eye with a protective boundary shape.

Editorial starter prompt based on the source instructions; not a recorded or tested run.

Check the First Result

Before accepting the output, look for these in the transcript and the files:

  • The board uses the requested brand name and a consistent logo across panels.
  • Color, typography and atmosphere reinforce one brand idea instead of unrelated mockups.
  • Small labels remain readable and do not contain invented or garbled text.
  • Review the image as a concept board; arrange separate editable artwork if production assets are needed.
